  • 17 months for number one. 9 months for number two. They had different needs . . . .

  • Yes, I nursed by oldest til 13 months (when I simply couldn't handle the pain of him laying on my stomach any more) and my youngest 26 months... I will most likely nurse this one around 2 years, which was the goal with the other two. However, I don't think it's really "extended nursing" until after 2 - 3 years...

  • Personally i haven't had the chance yet but I know my mother had 4 of us. i gave it up at 14 mons. My 1st brother was weened at 19 mos., my second brother gave it up at 18 mos. and my last brother was weened just after 2 because he had some special circumstances. I think BFing up until 2 is totally normal though no matter what, most kids though will learn to give it up when the are ready and I think at around 12 mos you should switch to only night nursing as you need to make sure their nutrition needs are being met on the table at that point.

  • I don't plan to honestly-12 is my goal. I am thrilled I've made it to 4 months so far, for I hated it when I had DD. It's going good with DS.

  • I breastfed my daughter for 18 months. My son is almost 13 months and he's still nursing, though I don't think he will be for much longer.
