Asthma medication....

Why would a script go from every 4 to 6 hrs to just being every 6 hrs? Her prescription written in the spring for albuterol was for every 4 tyo 6 hours as needed. I talked to her dr on Tuesday and was told every 4 hours right now. I had to call to get her a new script (no refills on the last one) and now it says every 6 hours....

  • Call the pharmacy and ask. Usually when my sons asthma starts acting up, he takes it every 4 hours until under control and then it is every 4-6 hours as needed. Every 4 hours for 2 weeks then as needed.

  • You need to call ASAP! if the pharmacy made a mistake, it can throw off your insurance, and then they may not cover an inhaler when you need it.
