  • At four months? You can't. Why are you worried about that at this point? Just enjoy your baby and her fleeting infancy. You will have plenty of time to deal with issues when and if they actually manifest. Now is the time to just Love her, let her absorb the world around her, and focus on meeting her actual needs. :-)

  • You can't infants don't have the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time. All children develop at different rates so thinking a 4 month old is behind or developmentally disabled is seriously jumping the gun.

  • You can't. This can not be accurately diagnosed until 4 or 5 and some say that is too early.

    Infants have the attention span of a gnat. Toddlers are little better. They are bundles of energy that ping from one activity to another for little to no reason we can see. That's why preschools change activities often, spending no more than 20 minutes in "circle time" for example.

  • Your baby is suppose to only have a 3 second attention span, its completely normal. Don't worry so much, trust your gut.
