In your opinion, how much does a large newborn weigh?

I've been reading articles about complications of having a large baby, but they don't say what is considered "large." What do you think?

  • For me anything over 11 or 12 lbs... But I see anything under 7 1/2 as Small...

  • for me...anything over 9lbs is "large"

  • Would have to agree..9-10 pounds is pretty large in my book.

  • My brother and sister-in-law just had a 10lb. 6 oz. boy and he's quite a chunk!!

  • 9lbs or more. My boys were 8lbs 11oz and 8lbs 2oz but they where still pretty small.
