At what age do babies begin to increase time between feedings?

  • Depends on the baby...And whether they are breastfed or formula fed. My first son(hes 5 now) would go 5-7 hours a night without eating..he was formula fed.

    My 13 day old whom Im breastfeeding eats about every 2-3 hours...there is normally one 3 hour break at night and one in the middle of the day.

  • My breastfed 8 month old goes 2-4 hours during the day, and about 6-7 hours at night.
