How do I get (yuk) B.O. smell out of DH's shirts? :P

DH is a crane operator and all summer has worked in the little glass box of his crane, operating it with NO A/C and just a tiny window for air. Needless to say, his shirts come back FUNK-AYYY. :P Even after washing them several times, the sweat smell remains in the armpit area... ewwww. How do I get this smell out?

  • Buy some cheer and rub it directly under the armpits and let it sit then wash. It worked for my dh's shirts.

  • Thank you guys... I think I'll use a combo of all of this. I'm ironing his shirts right now, (for some reason they made him wear long sleeves on this job and they're like plaid, light cotton semi-dress shirts) and the hot iron running over the armpit made the funk come out. (GAK!!!!) I'm gonna do vinegar, then arm & hammer & let it soak in the armpits, then wash it with oxyclean. If it doesn't come out by then I'm buying new ones. You guys rock!!! :)
