  • Something outside while the weather is still agreeable! How about a picnic? Or maybe something fun and frivolous like go karts?

  • Make him a small book of coupons that he can use during the next year. Whatever he is interested in could be a coupon from his favorite sports store; for you to wash his car; 5 home cooked dinners in a row; to let an argument rest and both decide to disagree, but go on. You know him; he just wants to spend time with you if you have been together 5 years. Good luck

  • Wrap yourself up, it's a gift he'll definitely love and certainly needs ;) Do something you wouldn't normally do, try a new restaurant, etc...

  • Maybe do something that you guys used to do when you were just dating, like going to a minature golf course or walk on the beach. =)

  • I love a lot of the above ideas. You could also go walk around the mall, and when something catches his eye, get it for him when he isn't looking. Buy him a new watch. Put on a show for him. Buy him a couple of movies and make it a night in. Cook him a very romantic dinner followed by dancing in the living room.
