  • It's safe to continue breastfeeding. I breastfed my daughter until I was 8 months pregnant with my son. Sometime in the second trimester, though, your milk supply will drop and your milk will go back to colostrum, to provide for the new baby. That's normal, so expect it and be ready.

  • yes you can still BF but just remember and think of how long you want to do this one so if you wanna stop you give your self time to break them before the newone come or your gonna have more work trying to do 2 when the new one comes gook luck n congrats

  • Amommyslife, I've known lots of moms who tandem nursed and said it made life EASIER with their firstborn when the new baby was born. It helps with jealousy and is there any more effective way to comfort a child?

Also, as for weaning entirely, I had to resort to CIO :( I hated it... I hope you get a better suggestion :(

  • I would not do it. try to quit slowly. you, and your new baby need vitamins right now, you want a healthy newborn, correct?

  • innulik, her body will provide just fine for both babies. If anyone is going to suffer from a lack of vitamins it's her. Definately make sure to eat enough and to take a prenatal vitamin, but other than that, don't worry about it! There is a lot of misconception for what's safe for breastfeeding and pregnancy.
