How much should I charge for daycare?

I'll be sitting infants 6ms-5years old. Parents will provide wipes, dipes & lunch...
I'll provide breakfast, snacks, and beverages.

  • Call your local child care centers and ask what their rates are. If you are not cerfied and are doing it out of your home charge about 20% less than what they are doing. It varies by region and even by neighborhood.

  • they charge 5 dollars an hour. I'm thinking of charging 3 or 4 bucks.

  • my daycare provider charged 80 a week per child.

  • My day care charged me $80/wk for my youngest (starts kindergarten this year) & $2/hr for my son for after school care.

  • My moms friend charges $100/week for infant through potty trained and $80/week after they are potty trained.

  • My sitter charges $2/ hr per kid. But when you ar this cheap - you need to protect yourself from people who have money problems (poor spending habits) and ask for 1 week up front.
