I moved out of state. How do I go about unemployment?

Do I need a new state ID?

  • You will be filing for Unemployment in the state you worked in.
    Most states also require new ID or Drivers License within 60 days of moving.

  • Yes u going to need a new state ID. And I would look up the state u r moving to about what they're unemployment enquirement are. I am moving from SC to NY and I have to turn in my SC driver license and even my plates to get a NY license and plates. That with any state u do move unless ur signacant other is in the military.

  • You should be able to transfer it. I don't think you need a new state I'd.

  • If your new state is like the state I live in, you won't be able to file for unemployment because you didn't live in that state for the past 12 months. You'll have to file in your old state. You go to the DMV to get a state ID.
