anyone have lasik done?

i would love to get lasik done, i am so sick of contacts. my vision is pretty horrible and it gets a tiny bit worse each year...well thats my question, your vision deteriorates with time so would lasik really be worth it? i'm just thinking i'll have perfect vision and then it will go bad again. who had the lasik surgery YEARS ago and how is your vision today? seeing as lasik can only be performed once i want to know if i'm making the right decision. and please only people who have actually had the surgery answer

  • My husband had it done 2 years ago (sorry I'm answering even though I haven't had it done personally). It hasn't been a long time ago so we don't know for sure what will happen, but his vision has stayed perfect and they told him he would never need glasses again, other than reading glasses.

  • My husband and I both had LASIK done in December of 2007. My vision was horrible before having it done, and now it's amazingly clear. I see better now than I ever did with glasses or contacts. My husband's vision used to be slightly better than mine, and his results have been the same as mine. I'm very glad we had it done.

  • I had it done over 11 years ago. I am 38 now and it is still perfect. Don't know when I will need reading glasses but I was told eventually will need them anytime after 40 they said. Hoping later than sooner...
