Short Cervix

With my 1st pregnancy I was diagnosed with a short cervix at my 20 week ultrasound and was put on moderate bedrest, no standing, walking etc if not necessary. Part of the problem was that my DD was head down, pressing on my cervix by 20 wks and stayed that way the whole pregnancy.
I'm just wondering if there's a chance that this won't happen again with my current pregnancy. I'm about 9 weeks now. Has anyone had any experience with this?

  • They need to keep a close check on your cervix then. Progesterone shots may help but if it shortens to a 2 or 1.5 then they can do a cerclage.
