What freedoms will be "taken away?"

I see this explanation a lot when folks say they're not voting for Obama. If Obama wins, what freedoms do you think he will take away?

  • If you learned anything in school about government and how it's run, you'll know that neither man has the power to change any of your freedoms.

  • Are you kidding? Blah. He won't take anything away. I'll get a HUGE tax break, and I'll be able to afford things because my son's medical bills won't take ALL our money.

  • The freedom to enjoy the fruits of my labor without having tax on my GROSS income raised to 40% as a small business owner.

Raising taxes in a deep recession is absolutely idiotic! Obama = Carter. Get ready for double-digit interest rates on mortgages, if you can get one at all!

  • if anyone think mccain won't raise taxes you are fooling yourself. Mojito congrats on making over 250k in profits in a small business. you are the exception not the rule.
Both candidates will need to raise taxes to get out of the mess we are in.

  • He will take away our rights to chose health care...his plan will cause companies to stop providing health care, because why should they pay for it when the government will give health care for free?
He will take away our right to distribute our wealth as we see fit...thats right rather than being able to donate our money, he is going to put it toward his "tax break plan" aka. welfare.
He will take away our choice in where to send our kids to school...he doesn't support vouchers, he plans to just throw money at a failing education system.
He will take away a person's desire to achieve more...why bother, the government will take care of us.
He has already started making people think that they are not good enough without the government (so he took away people's self confidence)
Oh the list goes on and on...
