  • Not ALL the time, but I would say like 75% of the time. I do not bribe her with promises of treats if she is good in the store. But I like to do nice things for my DD, & honestly, I do not see the issue with spending 50 cents to let her ride the little horse outside. It makes her happy, which in turn makes me happy. She is very behaved & not bratty in the least just because I allow her to have some rewards or treats.

  • does food for dinner, laundry detergent for their clothes, food for their pets, their shampoo, tooth paste or lotion count? If so then yeah I guess so. :0) If not the well, they never really get anything when I go tot the store. 'The poor deprived children'- as they would lead you to think.

  • My son has autism. If he behaves as is expected, he can pick out candy at the register.
Does he always get something when we go to the store? No. He does not always behave as expected.
To him, it's not a lesson in 'not getting what he wants' it's a lesson on "how do we behave in public".

  • no. she doesnt usually ask for anything because she knows she wont get it. sometimes we will get her a treat if she has been especially good, like a new thing of play doh. it's daddy that thinks he needs something everytime we go somewhere!
