A good make ahead dish for a crowd that is not pasta?

I need to prep it at home and bring it to a party...I can throw it in the oven once there...any ideas? Would love something with chicken...

  • Lumpia. You can use ground chicken and bake them. They deep fry better, but they are pretty good baked. I can point you to a decent recipe.

  • Sloppy joes. What about chicken alfredo? Try typing in chicken for a crowd on allrecipes.com and see what comes up.

  • I know it's sort of pasta but I make a DELICIOUS Chicken Alfredo Lasagne. Just boil the lasagne Noodles ahead of time, use riccotta cheese, mixed with one egg and chopped spinach and layer the mixture with mozz cheese and I used fully cooked chunks of ckn breast. Add alfredo sauce in between it all. Top it with cheese, you can cover it with foil and it bakes up in 45 minutes.

Or 7 layer taco dip with chopped chicken breast.....OR use a slow cooker and make shredded barbeque chicken for sanwiches. I'm hungry.

  • Throw some boneless skinless chicken breasts in the crock pot with a little water. Cook til they're shreddable, the shred and add barbeque sauce (bottled or homemade, whatever you prefer). Let heat another hour or so on low and serve on buns. Or chicken enchiladas - yum!
