My son showers daily,so I don't know the answer....

In cool weather, how long would you say a kid would have to go between baths to get that stinky kid smell? I've noticed that everytime I see my niece and nephew they are visibily dirty and have that unbathed smell.
I'm confused as to why they are not getting bathed regularly. At first i chalked it off to it being summer and hot and all,but its been in the 50's here so that excuse doesn't fly any longer.

  • I would say 2 or 3 days. But not really sure because my son showers daily. He plays sports and stinks after every game or practice.

  • I am thinking if they miss a day of showering. My kids shower daily, so I don't really know. And my son if he plays soccer out with Daddy he showers right when he gets home

  • My kids get a bath as needed of every second or third day depending on what they are doing. In the winter it's closer to every third day because the bathroom is so freezing cold! I can't say I have ever seen them get to the point where they are stinky, but my youngest could find a way to be visibly dirty with in 10 mins of his bath. Now, I don't know your family but chances are they are simply getting dirty faster than they are being bathed, it doesn't really mean they aren't getting a bath, just that they are active kids.

  • Depends are what they have done that day. If they haven't been physically active, I will let them go every other day with being bathed. My daughters though are in sports so unless its a weekend, the bathe every day.
