  • When I did live away from them, I was happy as hell and a lot less stressed! My family is all drama! If it wasn't for me having their grandkids I wouldn't even contact them. I can't stand my family!

  • I moved an 8 hour drive away from my family to live with my now husband. It was the best move I've made, although I'm close with my family. I like knowing they are close enough to come visit on occasion, but that they can't come over too often. It works out really well, and we email/talk on the phone every week. I love them so much, but I cannot live that close to them.

  • I moved 900 miles away from my family and hell yes I'm glad I did. I've become a much better person without them around.

  • One of the reasons we moved far, far away was to get away from family drama. My husband can speak for the amount of stress that has been lifted by not being around the drama.

  • we moved about 1000 miles away from our family and no, we dont like it. we plan to move back when the lease is up on our apt. we have always been very close to our families and we miss them dearly. my mom has taken it really hard. she misses her grandaughter so much. my husbands dad has taken harder than anyone thought he would too.

  • I moved in july from colorado to nebraska (I have lived in colorado my whole life) and I live 3 hours away from my closest relative. There are family members that I am glad that I am no where near... my mom, my brother, and a few off the wall family members (can we say DRAMA lol) But then again there are a few that I really miss... eventhough i talk to them on a regular basis. My family and I have never been really close but it is still weird to not have them near by.

  • I live two hours away from my parents and older sister. (My other older sister lives in WA State and my younger sister lives in AZ) I HATE that we live so far away from one another. We are a very close family and we all wish we could see one another every day. But with getting married and what-not we all had to make the choice to take off in a different direction. Even two hours seems like a country away sometimes when you just can't get the time or money together to travel.

There are definately family members I am SUPER GLAD I don't live near though. I am fine communicating with them long distance over FB, but honestly I couldn't stand (again) living near them.
