are you able to tell the difference between a yeast infection

or genital herpes especially if you don't ever get lesions? i can't tell them apart. i was shocked when i was told i had that and i never noticed a break out ever and dr said i could of thought it was a yeast infection. i have maybe one or 2 sensations that i always thought was a yeast infection. i have no idea where, who or when. as i was divorced for 12yrs and rarely had sex especially the last 4yrs before i remarried. also i don't get an odor. i just want to make sure my hubby doesn't get them and he never wants to use safe sex. i don't have health ins so i can't take a medication. how long from the time a break out occurs do you wait to have sex again?

  • Herpes is contagious at all times. Even without a breakout. Some people are carriers of the disease and like you never get symptoms. Others, have sores all the time. PMS, stress, all kinds of things can trigger a breakout.

Have you told your husband? That is really the 1st step. It is more then likly that he already has it or that he is the one who gave it to you
