Chocolate CAUSING acne is a myth. However there is a correlation between chocolate and acne. Women eat more chocolate than men. And we generally crave chocolate the most when we are close to getting our periods. Progesterone and Estrogen fluctuate in the 2 weeks before AF is expected, and they both cause hormonal changes that cause acne. So while there is a likely hood of us craving chocolate and later breaking out into acne, the chocolate itself did not cause the acne.

And no, I don't. What you eat does have an effect on how healthy your skin is, but for the most part, that whole chocolate-causes-acne thing is a myth.
