  • I spend a whole lot... My son was 2yrs. old last Christmas and I spent about $6-700... I save during the whole year (for this and his b-day)... Sure people will think this is insane but I love being able to do it, and will contiune every year... as long as I am able... :)

  • We spent around $200-$300 on my son, but he's an only child. He got one big gift- a train table ($150) and a couple smaller things. His birthday also falls 10 days after Christmas, so I buy his birthday gifts at the same time. As he gets older I'm going to try to keep with the same trend- one big thing, with a few smaller things. (i-pod with case, earphones, and an itunes card would be one)

  • We usually get one BIG gift and the rest are smaller gifts, like clothing, small toys, books, games, etc. So usually around $200-$300. We only have one child though, so that will probably change when we have more than one.

  • I don't always spend the same amount on them. They normally get one big gift from Santa, two smaller gifts from DH and me, and then their stocking stuffers. This is because Grandma goes crazy at Christmas and sends them 5 or 6 bigger gifts each, and they also get one gift each from my sister and also my brother, as well as DH's mom. So in all, they end up with 12-14 gifts each. We don't base it on cost, we just get them whatever we can afford that year that is on their wishlist. Never more than $150 each for both of their gifts from us, and their stocking stuffers though.
