  • Mine were 100% free for me (Medicaid).
But the range for birth centers might be from 2-6 thousand. ?

  • My health insurance covers birthing center the same way it does hospital, but will not cover a home birth. My medical is medical assistance, which covers everything. My work insurance covers 80% of everything, so for every $100 I'm spending $20, after my $250 deductible. I would call the insurance company, or check your paperwork, mine stated birthing center was acceptable.

  • Doulala - thanks I was looking for a decent range for a rough idea. I don't need my insurance company knowing what I am thinking at this point. I don't trust them!

  • Ask your health insurance company?
It will depend on the center. Contact three and get a range.
If you have insurance, the cost is likely to be different.
It may be negotiable, more and more medical treatment is.

  • It all depends on each birth center on what they charge. You will have to call your insurance and see if they will cover it.
