How many calories do you burn?

I exercise everyday. I run, do lunges, squats, boxing, crunches, bicep, tricep, back and shoulder exercises and etc.. I workout for 2 hours. I end up only burning anywhere from 150-200 calories a day. How many do you burn a day?
I feel like that is not enough to burn in a day. I read somewhere you need to burn 500 calories everyday. No way I could burn that much, unless I worked out all day long, but I have 3 kids so that's not even possible to do. Is 150-200 calories ok, or should I be burning more?

  • All that exercise should be more than 150-200 calories.. I work out for an hour at night and hours 550-700. Best of luck

  • how do you know how man calories you are burning? do you have a calorie counter? just about everything burns some calories, even running after the kids or cleaning the bathroom. Get a calorie counter, they have them at GNC for like 12 bucks. I burn about 700 a day

  • Your calorie counter HAS to be incorrect. 2 hours of exercise should definated burn more than that.

  • I have a bodybugg and I burn well over 2000 calories in a day.. when I run I burn over 400 calories. However, I am 114 lbs, 5'1" and 35 years old so I burn less than someone that weighs 160 lbs. The less you weigh, the less you burn.
In order to lose 1 lb per week you need to burn 3500 calories per week...or have a deficit of 500 calories per day. You also need to make sure that you are consuming enough calories per day..if you are don't you won't lose weight.
PM me if you need help... I've lost 53 lbs since December..

  • I have a calorie counter. I am sure chasing after the kids and doing house work adds on to the calories I burn in a day. I will have to step it up I guess. I will do 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, that should put me over 500 a day.
