Shoes that tone

I have seen the Reebok Easytones, Skechers makes some, there are some at Payless shoes. Seems like more and more companies are making them. Who has a review? =)

I walk several mornings a week and would like to try a pair just for then. Are they intended to add to your regular routine or do people wear them all day as regular shoes?

  • I live in the desert and pretty much only wear Fitflops. I don't think they do much as far as toning goes, but they are by far the most supportive, comfortable shoes I've worn.

  • I've heard they don't do anything. In fact, I heard they cause more injuries than they help. :-/ I was excited to try them but I really haven't heard anything good. The best things for your muscles and body's natural toning ability seem to be going barefoot (or, as a much more reasonable option, lol) the Vibram FiveFingers: http://vibramfivefingers.com/products/index.cfm

  • I've herad that if they make you wnat to get up and work out then they work as far as that goes
but that the actual shoe does not do anything for you

  • Are you talking about the ones with the rounded soles? I tried on a pair and nearly fell over, thought I was going to hurt myself. I did buy my leather tennies at a running shoe place (Fleet Feet) since I walk A LOT and wear them out in 6 months or less.
