When you vote up an anon answer, does the anon get credit?

  • If it's a good answer the credit should be given. Who cares if they want to be anon. That's just silly. If they helped someone they helped someone.

  • Oh....and I just realized that we don't get points for voting up anon answers, so I'm guessing at this point that they don't.

  • So anons can lose points for down votes, but get nothing for up votes? Hmm...that's not right. Many people use the anon feature because they are embarrassed or very private....they should still get credit if the contribute.

  • I will some times use the anon option... but I have never answered questions just to get credit. I have answered them because I felt I had something to add.

  • The point of this new system was to discourage use of the anon feature. So the points reflect that.
