Dumb question...

Do braxton hicks contractions get stronger the farther along you get in your pregnancy!?!? Im 29wks BTW.

  • It really depends on the woman. Some women never notice having them, though most women do. If yours start to feel painful - lay on your left side, and drink lots of water. Dehydration can cause contractions.

  • oh, I just realized that you posted in another question that you have a car seat, so I'm assuming you have another child.

    braxton hicks are stronger/more noticeable with each pregnancy. I hardly noticed them with my 1st but with 2 & 3, I kept thinking I was going into labor :)

    my midwife said that more than 6 per hour was bad.

  • Mine did a LITTLE bit, but not very much. Some women's do, some women's don't. Every pregnancy is different.
    If they become regular at more than 5 per hour (approx. every 12 minutes), call your doctor.
