How much spaghetti do I make for a group of less than 20?

I will be making a spaghetti dinner and delivering it to a Bible study group of less than 20 on Tuesday evening. How much should I make?

  • 4 lb boxes of spaghetti, 4 lbs ground beef, 5-6 jars spaghetti sauce. One container grated Parmesan. 5 loaves garlic bread. Salad for everybody. I think if I were doing it, I might make 5 boxes of spaghetti, 5 lbs ground beef, etc, to make sure there is enough for generous portions and seconds.

  • Read to label to see how many a box will feed and go from there.

  • I would get two or three large packages of pasta (like the kind from Sams or Costco) and use about three or four larger jars of sauce. Look at the serving amounts on the packages as a guide and then estimate on the high side since a lot of people eat larger portions or go back for seconds.
