What baby items I must have by the day DD is born? NEED HELP! (Drawing a complete blank!!)

I was wondering which Items are a MUST by the time DD is born! I know there are somethings that I must have and somethings that I dont need immediately after she is born. I am drawing a complete blank. I am afraid to buy something that could have waited a little longer. We are on a budget and have to get things by each paycheck! Thanks so much for the help!

  • Diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, baby wash (sponge baths only until the cord falls out) bibs, bottles, place to sleep, baby monitor, first aid/grooming kit (nail clippers, baby motrin, baby tylenol, alcohol pads, band-aids, comb or brush) mittens (or shirts that fold over) hats, socks, baby lotion or oil.

They sleep a lot for a while, so you will have plenty of time to fill in the gaps. Really, you just need to think about what you will need to keep him clean, warm, and fed.

  • Carseat, diapers, wipes, clouthes (don't need many), bathseat... somewhere to set baby down at home (usually a bouncy seat... we used a highchair because my son was early and we didn't have anything else!). A large purse/bag... I would also add a sling to that list, but that's just me! :)

  • sanitary and nursing pads for yourself, nursing bras, birth announcements and stamps- if you want , I would recommend preparing meals ahead of time and freezing them, it's nice to not have to worry about the meals when you 1st get home.
