Is your child afraid of the dark?

This is wierd because mine wasn't until this yr. AGE 6. He use to sleep in his room pitch black.
The only way I can get him to sleep in his room now is if I turn on his dolphin light and his globe thing that turns and spins different colors.

  • My 11 year old has never been afraid of the dark. I even tried to put a night light in his room so he could see in case he needed to get up to go to the bathroom at night and he hated it and refused to allow me to have it on.

  • She wasn't afraid until a little over a week ago.
Before it was she was hungry or
    She was thirsty.
I tell her she has five minutes before bed and has to eat or drink then it is bed no food or drink.
Now, she is afraid. Something is in her closet and we finally got a night light for under her desk.
And she has us leave her door open five inches.

  • No. He does have a small nightlight the plugs in. It is there for him to be able to see if he needs to use the potty.
