how can you tell when you are haveing contractions?

  • Probably braxton hicks then. Try to just lie down and relax. If they last longer than a hour I would call dr.

  • My contractions felt like my baby was kicking my rib cage. Then the pain began to get stronger...kind of like menstrual cramps.

  • they pretty much feel like that but i know its isnt her kicking and they are just sharp pains and i get them in random spots on the top part of my stomach and sides. and they hurt.

  • The muscles in your stomach tighten up and you feel pressure in your lower vaginal area. They get more intense as labor progresses.

  • the ones i had were irritable contractions but they feel like a pressure down there that last 10 seconds then stops for a couple seconds this does it again and when you move it hurts and your all tight and feel like there is bricks in your lower stomach. And it is just uncomfortable.

  • Real contractions last longer and longer, Grow stronger and stronger, come closer and closer together and are progressive, coming every 5-7 minutes, lasting at least 30 seconds and causes discomfort and backache.
