  • I think it would be good to just call it foster / adopted / extended family - we have a group here that's very active on basic cafemom.

  • YEAH BUT MY STEP DAUGHTER IS NOT A FOSTER CHILD AND SHE IS NOT EXTENDED FAMILY SHE IS MY HUSBANDS BLOOD DAUGHTER MAKING HER OUR FAMILY...AND I HAVE NOT ADOPTED HER SO IT DOES NOT ALWAYS FALL INTO THE THAT... =(

  • hmmmm.... all the kids in the home are my children, I gave birth to all four but hubby considers them all his even tho his sperm didn't create all of them..... When he married me he comitted to the kids as well.

  • well my kids are his kids his the one raising my older 2 that i had at a previous marriage...and i do want to consider his daughter my own and when we had her she was mine and to everyone she is my daughter but at the same time she has her mom and i WOULD never over step that line.

  • or maybe you should say it correctly...i love her as she was mine bit hello the truth is that she is my STEP daughter... Just a question if you dont like my post dont answer...and for your info i treat her just like my own when we have her here...like i said i love her like my own and treat her equally...
