Have you ever checked your kids' BMI?

I was happy to see that my son falls smack dab in the middle of the healthy weight area.

  • I never bothered with it. I can see what he eats and does not eat, I know what size clothing he wears and I know how active he is or isnt.
He's healthy, happy, and despite some meds he's on, at a good weight for him. What matters most to me in all that is that he is happy and healthy. : )

  • All three of my boys are long and lanky, so I have never worried about their BMI.

  • You know those growth charts the pediatrician gives you at each checkup? Those are a child's measurement of BMI 50% is a perfect score.

  • 13.2 for BMI. It puts him at under 5% on the chart. It indicates he is underweight. I knew this.
