  • Some weeks I manage to plan them out ahead of time, but I'm not exactly Susie Homemaker, and I usually end up winging it from day to day.

  • when I go shopping I try to plan out enough meals for the entire week and then I usually have an idea for the week. If I don't plan out meals i spend more money and seem to buy

  • When I shop on Sunday, I make sure I have enough staples to cook all week (lots of chicken, ground beef, rice, pasta, tomato sauce, veggies, etc...) I don't plan each night, but I think about it. The night before I defrost something. On my way home from work I decide how I will prepare it.

  • Most of the time I do it day by day. I keep a pretty good stock on hand, so usually if I need anything it is very little. When I go to the grocery, I just replenish my stock.

  • Plan it out ahead of time. We go grocery shopping every Saturday and we make out a weekly menu (Saturday-Friday). I find it cheaper and easier that way.
