Has anyone used a weighted jacket or blanket to help with autism or other sensory issues?

The OT therphist suggested it as helping when she was trying to get us to keep our appointments at their facility vs school. I seen online and thought about ordering them. Especially since it talked about how it helps kids sleep longer who normally wake up early and fall asleep late.

They were pricey so I wanted to check with others before buying them. I don't mind buying them if they work but definetly wanted some non bias opinions before I purchase them.

  • My daughter may be ADHD and she wakes up about 6:30-7am every day and finally falls to sleep around midnight. Where can I go to get more information about these? I may not buy one... just curious.

  • I have not, but a friend of mine did for her DD, I even made a blanket for her. She had great success with them.
