  • depends on child and ability
i expect my step daughter at nine
to have her homework done, do some chores when asked-some chores are..clear table after dinner, put away dishes from dish washer, dog poop duty(which she is not good at on purpose), clean her room, read book before bed without me checking to see if she has read, pick up her towel after shower-if left on florr-that child gets to do a load of towels(good place to start with laundry and they do remember to pick up now off floor), no sassy attitude or i take away her ipod thing (ipods only good for taking away!-lol

  • Well, my girls are 6, 8, and 10 ... the 10 year old has become a bit more independent and a little more responsible but really there is very little difference between 8 and 9.
