Decreasing bottle amounts at night time

My youngest turns 1 in a couple weeks. I'm not sure how exactly to word all of this. But I have heard of people decreasing the amount in the bottle during night time feedings after 1 yr of age. Like oz by oz every week? So the baby can not need a bottle to get back to sleep. Or to train their body to sleep through the night. Currently my LO is waking 2x a night, sometimes 3x. My 2 yr old also wakes once a night a lot. Once they are on milk, has anyone ever done this or something like it? Curious, as I heard someone talking about it the other day.

  • Once my kiddos got teeth, I tried to not give bottles at night. When my 10 month old wakes up at night, I give her a little water and she falls back to sleep.
