  • Get him up on his feet, stand behind him and have hold your hands or hold his hands yourself. Lean him forward a little bit and see if he makes a step. Hope it works and good luck!

  • He'll learn soon enough; don't worry about teaching him. My son didn't walk until he was 14 months, but my nephew walked by 9 months. Every kid goes at their own pace.

  • Why not let the poor little kid learn all by himself. Is there a competition going on where you want your kid to be the first on the block to walk or something???? LOL. I mean....what is going on here at CM?

  • Let him walk when he's ready. The more you push him, the more he'll resist, and the longer it'll take him.

  • He will learn when he's ready. I ran a daycare in my home for two years and I worked in a daycare for 4 years. I also have 3 girls ages 12, 13 and 27. Kids learn at their own pace you can't rush them. Every child is differant when it comes to walking, talking, crawling etc....Just enjoy him and if someone says why is'nt he walking just tell them he"ll walk when he's ready. Then you be ready for whats ahead he'll be into everything and you may wish he wasn't walking yet.

  • Enjoy the time before he can walk! Don't rush him. My son started at 14 months, and was a little later than average for talking too. But at 20 months he has a very advanced vocabulary and is very bright. These milestones are just so meaningless - enjoy your child, stop comparing him to others. He is special - he is YOURS. He will have his own perfect little schedule so you might as well not stress about it.
