  • Our house growing up, no matter how clean or how often we cleaned, would get ants in the kitchen. Ugh!
Windex will kill them, it's easy to clean up, doesn't stink and isn't dangerous. Then put a small bowl of sugar water out side, near where they are coming in if you can- if not just somewhere around the kitchen. Chances are they are looking for a water source, the sugar water will send out a sweet smell, some (alot) will drown and the rest will take that water back to the colony. Just check on the bowl every 3 or 4 days.

  • Get rid of the sugar lol. No seriously, my mom and dad have had this problem a lot in their house and its due(for them) to very poor insulation. Ants like to come in when it turns cooler outside. Ortho Home Deense works well. You can spray it inside and outside along the perimeter of your house. I've used it for years and we have no bugs of any kind. It kills all kinds of bugs and prevents them from coming back. Make sure you wipe down counters and sink daily because ants LOVE sugar.

  • keep your counters clean, when you wipe them down use bleach water they don't like the bleach.

  • Sand ants are a part of summer life. I just used those little round traps form the home and garden center and they were gone.
