What is implantion bleeding like?

I know it sounds stupid but I didn't have any bleeding when I got pregnant the first time. But today I thought I had started my period but it was just a little bright red blood and then the rest of the day it was brownish. Not like a regular period.

  • It's when the baby actually "implants" in the uterus. It happens at around 4 - 7 weeks, you get a little light spotting (some don't get any) and then it's done. If you have concerns your Dr. can do a US to make sure it's all good.

  • Just some light spotting, usually brown and not heavy

  • It normally doesn't last long.. With me it was enough to show up on the t.p. and that was it..
