my 2 week old daughters cord fell off today but im still scared to give her a full bath. can it hurt her? and should i wait a while before giving her a bath?
If you are afraid then don't do it. Babies don't have to have a bath. Just clean her with a soft cloth. Follow the directions the hospital gave you for the cord. Something you can do that's easier than a bath is to fill the bathroom sink about half full of warm water and put her in it in a sitting position, holding her all the time. If she likes it let her soak a little. If she screams take her out right away and lay her on a towel and dry her off. This will get her bottom clean. Babies don't need daily baths. Once or twice a week is ok.

You can wait if you like. Just give her a sponge bath when needed.
