  • If you are afraid then don't do it. Babies don't have to have a bath. Just clean her with a soft cloth. Follow the directions the hospital gave you for the cord. Something you can do that's easier than a bath is to fill the bathroom sink about half full of warm water and put her in it in a sitting position, holding her all the time. If she likes it let her soak a little. If she screams take her out right away and lay her on a towel and dry her off. This will get her bottom clean. Babies don't need daily baths. Once or twice a week is ok.

  • i gave my baby a bath when she was 1 week old, but the umbilical cord had fallen off like 4 days before. as long as its not bleeding or oozing anything it will be fine. make sure NOT to use any harsh chemicals like johnson and johnson. VERY BAD! use a sensitive ORGANIC soap to make sure it doesnt do any harm =)

  • You can wait if you like. Just give her a sponge bath when needed.
