Did you use the baby mittens to keep your LO from scratching their face?

My 6 week old son always has his hands on his face and will scratch himself no matter how short his nails are. I keep them as short as i can and use the baby emery boards to keep them from getting sharp but he still manages to find a way to scratch his face. Sometimes it gets bad so i still use the mittens they put on him at the hospital. I keep them off as often as i can, especially while he is playing. Did you use these, if so, for how long and how often?

  • If you need them, use them, it can't hurt him. Socks work as well.

  • I used them for a few months. I am watching an 8 month old who still scratches his face sometimes. My daughter didn't do it that long but I can imagine it hurts so I used them for a while.
