Is there anyone here interested or experienced in emergency preparedness?

I feel a strong need to stock up and prepare, but am not sure about how. Any advice supporting or educating me on how would be welcome.

  • You bet! First off visit this website:
There is a video under the heading of supplies kit that gives you ideas what you have in your emergency supplies. Here is what I would include: A large tupperware type bin the store items, flashlights for every family member, batteries, a small radio, lots of candles, waterproof matches, one gallon of water per day per family member for 2 weeks (store this elsewhere), tylenol (adult and infant), motrin (adult and childrens) a big bag of maxi pads (can uses for AF and for bandaging) baby wipes for hygiene, hand sanitizer, a month's worth of prescriptions if someone has to take medicines regularly. There is much more you can pack, but check out the website for more ideas. Also, have a family plan. Know where your kids will be evacuated to in the event of an emergency.
