what is the best way to wash a stroller? i don't want to ruin it....

i have one of the graco double strollers that you can put the car seat into (the seats are one in front of the other, not side by side). it is only a year old, but looks like it's been through a war! it is dirty, but none of the seat covers come off.... the only thing that can come off is one of the canopys, but that is not dirty because i don't use it lol. does anyone have a stroller like this, and how did you clean it? i am seriously hoping that i can just scrub it down and hose it off and leave it in the sun to dry, but i paid a lot of money for it (bought it new) and i am afraid of messing it up somehow. thanks for your advice ;)
