  • Obama is talking about 95% of people who do pay taxes.

  • The thing is though, that 40% of people who don't pay taxes, includes those that pay them, but then get refunds equal to what they paid, so they get zeroed out. So wouldn't it be closer to 55% of Americans that will receive benefits from Obama's tax plan?

  • I believe we should all help pay for our country even if it is only 1%.
Obama plans to send a tax credit check to the people who don't pay any taxes right now
I wouldn't expect to get groceries without paying something for them
I believe taxes would be more fair if there were no deductions from whatever our share of the taxes happens. I do know the current indexed system is not necessarily fair for those who do actually work. Once I worked 106 hours in one week, and my take home pay was less than when I only worked 40 hours. How fair is that?

  • obama's tax plan is only for working americans.
his figure of 95% is for 95% of WORKING americans. it is NOT a handout for people who do not work.
you cannot receive a tax cut if you are not paying taxes already.
