  • You may be having Braxton hicks contractions. They are warm up contractions that tine the uterus And prep you for real labor.

Drink a big glass of water every time they come on.

  • I remember trying to get dressed a few times when I was about 35-36 weeks and getting sharp or shooting pains "down there".. They would even shoot down my right thigh. It was weird, but didn't happen often. I'd guess yours is everything getting ready, or like pp said braxton hicks. If it gets worse I would talk to your dr! Good Luck!!

  • It could also be your ligaments getting stretched out and your muscles have a harder time supporting normal movements.... The "down there" sharp pains can be a little hand or other part of the baby touching your cervix, which in turn could stimulate your uterus to contract. W/ my 2nd, it felt like he was always pinching my cervix. Would hurt like hell and take my breath away every time. I think it was worse than labor pains. :)
