  • Whne my DD was a newborn the most she ever seemed to sleep for was an hour at a time (during the day), and often it would be more like 30-45 minutes. I expected her to sleep so much more than she did. She would basically cat nap every hour or so. Sleep, wake up and eat and look around for a bit, back to sleep for a short while, and then eat again. This was pretty typical for the first couple of months. At night she would usually sleep 2-3 hours at a stretch.

  • My DD slept a good hour before she would wake up and eat, then she would go right back to bed. My son on the other hand would sleep all day if I didnt wake him every hour and a half to breastfeed him!

  • My 2 month old takes a 1 1/2 hour morning nap (8:30-10), a 30-45 minute snooze around 11, a 2 1/2 hour nap from 1:30-4, another 30-45 minute snooze around 5:30, goes to bed between 8-8:30, I wake her up at 10 to nurse and then she sleeps until 6:30-7.
