My niece told me she drinks oj when she is at dance as a snack so that her stomach gets upset and she can't go to gymnastics. Do I mention this to my brother?

  • Yes. she is making herself physically ill so she doesn't have to do it. He needs to know she obviously is not wanting to do it.

  • I think I wuld talk to my niece about it first. Maybe you can convince her to talk to her Dad about what is going on.

  • I think you need to sit down with her and discuss this further. Listen to why she does this, what is going on in the gymnastics class she is unhappy with, then set up a meeting with her and your brother. Be there, be on her side. Let her know someone cares and wants to help her. I'm sure she is not being forced to take these classes but sometimes kids don't want to disappoint their parents you know?
