How much do you pay for Homeowners insurance?

How much do you pay for your Homeowners Insurance? We are shopping around, and our old house was only $480 for a 1200 sq ft house and we are getting a quote for $760 for a 1800 sq ft house....Just seems a little high

  • i think it all depends on the construction of the house, how old it is.... there are alot of factors....just ask the insurance company why it seems so high they can explain it to you. i dont really know what we are paying because it is included in owr mortgage payment.

  • What company are you with? Our house is 2003 sq feet and and we only pay $337.00.

  • Try looking at a Local business. Like where I live we have HSI "Homer Smith Insurance" We use them and not only will a small place try and treat you better, but will save you money by looking around for you. Check it out.
