  • Personally I would avoid the name Jayden... it's SUPER popular for both boys and girls. It's ranked #8 for boys with that spelling, and with all of the different spellings of the name it's probably in the top 3 names.. he'll be forever called by his last initial...

I would go with a similar less common name....
    Jason
    Jaylen
    Jordan
    Bohdan
    Landon
    Leighton

  • I would stay clear of the name Jayden because there are already sooo many boys AND girls with this name. Not to mention all the other _ayden (insert just about any letter in front) names out there for both sexes.
    Other names:
    Jensen
Jachin pronounced (JAY-kin) means "he will establish" and you could always use Jay or Jake as a nn
    Gideon
    Jameson
    Jace

  • I love Jayden, what would the middle name be? I think it is natural to second guess names. I remember going through the same thing. If you two can come up with an alternate name, you will know when you see him, Good luck. What an awesome experience you have waiting. :-)

  • I started second guessing my son's name about 2 weeks before he was born and changed it from Damien to Daniel..lol. I could not imagine my son being named Damien! I have met 6 kids with that name since he was born and have met no kids with the name Daniel..lol. The name Daniel suits him so much more and I'm super thankful I changed it. I would go for somthing traditional, there are like a million kids with the name Jayden! Maybe Samuel or Malachi, Joseph, John, James, Jacob, Andrew, Edward...etc. Look to the bible? :) Good Luck in whatever you decide!
