Any good tips for making smothered steak w/brown gravy??

  • I make my meat like I'm making a meat loaf, with an egg and breadcrumbs and so on- I add worchsire sauce to it though. Cook for a few minutes on each side, take them out of the pan- for my sauce, I use cream of mushroom soup and beef broth, add some worchsire sause, salt and pepper to that until it boils, add the meat for 20 minutes or so. Our family loves it.

  • I use chopped steak or pork and cook it in the gravy for and hour till it is fork tender. I usually use packaged gravy mix with seasonings added or I make my own with mushroom soup and beef boullion
