40 weeks 2 days pregnant, will it be soon?

saw my doctor today and she said i was 4 cm dialated, baby is at station 1, cervix is thin and i most likely will go into labor myself, even though we shedule an appt for me to get induce incase, last week i was at 3-4 cm and baby at station 0 and cervix was still at a cm thick, this is my third baby, will i go into labor soon?

  • probably soon..... i think it's a full moon.... that's supposed to help. go for a nice long walk and that might help too

  • Maybe or maybe not...hard to know. I would still wait and see. I wouldn't induce unless my placenta was deteriorating. I would let nature run it's course.

  • Have you tried walking, bouncing on an exercise ball, or vacuuming? Having sex is a great way as well!

    What really worked for me was getting my membranes stripped by my midwife.. Maybe you can ask about that to avoid induction...

  • just be thankful your at the finish line i still have 10 weeks to but enjoy the quietness now and relax because your gonna need it wont be much longer gurentee it!!
